Mujjo Touchscreen Gloves Review
Touchscreens are all well and good outdoors until the winter's chill shows up. This is when the rational desire to wear gloves to keep hands toasty warm becomes a problem when confronted with said touchscreens. Actually the £34.99 Mujjo Touchscreen Gloves aren’t like others, because they work with capacitive touch screens like the iPhone.
Design & Comfort
How are these touchscreen compatible? The simple answer is silver nylon fibres are threaded into the fabric that work by sensing the conductive properties of your skin. Coupled with the dotted rubber lining of each glove, they achieve a pearlescent finish, and what's more, the grip keeps the iPhone steadily secured in the hand when in use. They’re soft both inside and out, and are a pleasure to wear. We particularly like the magnetic faux-leather strap which provides a snug fit to the gloves around the lower wrist, truly keeping out the wintery breeze. Stepping outdoors into the early sub zero temperatures has proven these single layered gloves insulate really well.
How well do they work?
We’ve been wearing the Mujjo Touchscreen Gloves continuously on these bitterly cold days. We’ve discovered that general interaction with an iPhone, such as swiping and scrolling, is simple. Greater complication comes with pinching to scroll, and then with rapid actions with games. These are areas which prove a little challenging because of the large surface area of the finger tip of the glove interacting with the screen - but with a little patience you can make it work to a certain degree. Typing was the most interesting area; whilst we definitely make a greater number of typos whilst wearing the gloves, it definitely beats getting cold hands, and we can construct 1000+ character emails in portrait mode with no usability complaints to make.
Verdict
The stylish Mujjo Touchscreen Gloves keep hands both comfortable and warm in the early sub zero temperatures, and the touchscreen usability is adequate and indispensable during the winter months! Buy on Amazon
