Design
SACKit have once again infused their Danish charm into this diamond cut aluminium frame angled charger that is both premium in finish and feel. It is complemented with the Remix fabric front available in black, grey, rose and curry. Added to this, and included within the box, is a colour matched USB-C cable covered in the same material, a much appreciated aesthetic touch for fellow users who want to utilise this on their desk and not have a drab wire trawling across it.
The SACKit CHARGEit goes up against horizontal chargers, such as the Apple MagSafe for iPhone, which are all well and good if you don’t intend on briefly using your phone whilst it’s charging. However, if you are in the category of those that do wish to use your phone whilst charging, particularly if you are sat at a desk, the SACKit CHARGEit is the solution. It provides the ability to use your charging smartphone to access information quickly, expand on an incoming notification, etc., and cased or case-less devices are held in place thanks to the grippy silicone X which the phone rests against.
Charging
The SACKit CHARGEit charger isn’t overly fussy about where you place your phone and we’ve never placed our phones onto the charger for them not to connect and begin charging, something we have experienced in the past with other wireless chargers. The illustrated X marks the charging spot, and it’s a broad area thanks to there being two charging coils which are Qi certified making it universal in compatibility. To give an idea of this in terms of device size, this charger supports every model from the mini to the Max of the new iPhone 12 lineup. Furthermore, it has no issue conducting through our clear silicone cases and the 10W fast wireless charging can be made use of via the latest iPhone 12 series. However, from our testing using the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the charge rate is slower than even a 5W cable, due to the current technological design quirks of wireless charging, and so its USP is still convenience in the way it works, making it an ideal solution for overnight charging.
Verdict
We have no qualms about recommending the SACKit CHARGEit universal charger for smartphones. After being used daily for over 4 months, we can safely say it’s a reliable accessory that is well made and designed. Buy on Amazon
