Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Review
With the introduction of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte to the UK this season, also comes the Frappuccino version, known as the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. It may seem a little odd to have this cold, especially when the original Pumpkin Spice Latte is served to warm us up this season, but it's definitely worth trying.
The presentation of my Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino had a sandier colour than a regular coffee Frappuccino. There is an option to have it served with whipped cream dusted with pumpkin pie spices which I opted to have. Mine was made by the brilliant Truro City Centre Starbucks within Cornwall.
The texture is thick and creamy. It's sweet but not sickly, the autumnal flavours, such as the pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and caramel burst through with every sip. It's a very pleasant and tasty concoction, that doesn't get boring. The coldness, added sweetness and texture make it very distinguished from the regular Latte version.
Does the icy coldness bother me? Well, not really, I can drink this outside in the autumn chill quite happily because the flavour is so delicious. Plus if you believe in the Ben & Jerry's theory of consuming very cold food and drink on cold days to force your body temperature up, this would fit the category well. But I suspect many wouldn't choose this as their drink on a dark and cold morning this autumn, however it's ideal to take back to your warm home, office or have in store.
The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino is full of refreshing, tasty autumnal flavour. I highly recommend you go into your local Starbucks and try it out.
